Welcome to Transcending Trauma!

This space is about healing childhood trauma, releasing old beliefs that hold you back, and building nervous system resilience so you can get unstuck and live from your potential and not your past.

Hi, I’m Sujata!

For the last seven years, I’ve devoted my life to helping women heal the hidden wounds of childhood trauma — from emotional neglect to complex PTSD — so you can stop living in survival mode and start living from your wholeness.

My work weaves together science, somatics, and spirituality to guide you in releasing old patterns, restoring safety in your nervous system, and reclaiming the parts of yourself that had to hide.

What’s possible?

You can reparent yourself with the love you didn’t receive, shift from self-abandonment to self-acceptance, and reconnect with your body to experience joy, pleasure, and aliveness again.

My Why

Those of us who experienced childhood trauma — especially those who are deeply sensitive or spiritual — often live contracted lives. We play small, give too much, and hold back from fully expanding into our potential. I used to believe I was “broken.” What I know now is that healing opens the door to a different way of being. Sharing my knowledge, wisdom, and practices to help you heal and explore new possibilities lights me up.

Through my weekly writing, you’ll be guided to:

  • Break free from over-functioning and honor your needs and desires.

  • Feel safe, connected, and at home in your body, heart, and spirit.

  • Transform your inner critic into a trusted ally.

  • Build relationships that feel reciprocal and safe.

  • Rediscover rest, joy, and pleasure as birthrights, not rewards.

This isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about remembering who you are — and finally having the freedom to live from your potential, not your past.

My Story

All my life, I was seen as the strong, capable, reliable one. I was the one who held everything together for everyone else — the friend people leaned on, the volunteer who always said yes. From the outside, my life looked “perfect.”

But underneath the competence and smiles was a deep loneliness. I couldn’t rest. And no matter how much I achieved, it never felt like enough. What looked like drive was really perfectionism and high-functioning co-dependence — survival patterns I had carried from childhood.

My turning point came when divorce and PTSD broke me open. It forced me to face what I had been running from and began my path of healing. I discovered somatic practices that reconnected me to my body, trauma-informed approaches that helped me understand my patterns, and spiritual practices that reminded me I was never broken to begin with.

I’ve been where you are — unsure of myself, afraid to be seen, carrying the shame of the past, and not living the bold, audacious life I knew I was here to live. On the outside, everything looked fine, but inside I felt the quiet ache of “there must be more than this.”

I know how heavy it feels to keep holding it all together while secretly wondering if time is slipping by before you’ve truly lived. If you’re tired of over-functioning, doubting yourself, or carrying pain you were never meant to hold alone, you’re in the right place. Together, we’ll create space for healing — so you can live from your potential, not your past.
